Fully functional replica of a DCDU (Datalink Control and Display Unit) for CPDLC use in your home cockpit.
The DCDU is an option for certain commercial aircrafts. If the aircraft is ready for the installation of DCDUs, two DCDUs are located in each aircraft above both MCDUs in the main instrument panel or these holes are closed with covers.
By use of the four holes and four M4 screws (not included in the delivery contents) the DCDU can be fixed in the panel. Please bear in mind that space behind the DCDU is required as DCDU measures approx. 38 mm in depth (measured from the back of the main body). The DCDU can also be delivered as a version without shortened cables. The visible main body can then be placed in front of another display and the electronics can be placed close to the main body. Contact us for more info on this.
The display can be driven by VGA. Additionally a 12 V power supply is required for the display. The keys and the backlight are controlled via USB (cable included).
Our software "Cockpit Connect" establishes the connection between the DCDU and the software. For our own software (http://cpdlc.dalpi.de
) there is already a profile available. By use of a jumper located on the board you can select if the DCDU acts as left or right DCDU in the cockpit.
